CRA deadline questions we get weekly

When is my GST return due in BC?
Monthly and quarterly GST returns are due one month after the end of the reporting period. Annual filers who are corporations file three months after their fiscal year-end; annual filers who are sole proprietors file by June 15, with any balance owing due April 30.
When are payroll source deductions due?
Regular remitters must have CRA source deductions (CPP, EI and income tax) received by the 15th day of the month after the month you paid your employees. Missing that date triggers a penalty of 3% to 10% of the amount, and the CRA treats these funds as held in trust.
When are T4 slips due?
T4 slips must be filed with the CRA and given to employees by the last day of February for the previous calendar year. Late slips are penalized per slip, per day.
When is my corporate T2 return due?
A T2 corporate return is due six months after your fiscal year-end. Most Canadian-controlled private corporations must pay any balance owing three months after year-end, so the payment deadline arrives before the filing deadline.
